ObituaryApr 23, 2006  OBITUARY: WRIGHT - Robert Edward Wright of Stratford, died Thursday, April 20, 2006 at Birmingham Health Care Center, Derby.

Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Leonard and Adeline Brooke Wright. He was a lifelong area resident and had lived in Stratford since 1957.

Mr. Wright was retired from the New England Printing Co. after 41 years of service.

He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army serving in England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany with the 323rd Field Artillery Battalion of the 83rd Infantry Division and participating in five campaigns.

After his retirement, Robert was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the American Red Cross. In addition, Robert was an avid amateur tennis player.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Virginia (Peg) Wright of Stratford; his devoted son, Daniel R. Wright and his wife, Susan, of Shelton; one granddaughter, Ashleigh; and one niece, Lois Kuba and her husband, Henry, of Shelton.

A memorial service will take place in the Trinity Episcopal Church, Trumbull at a later date and will be announced by the Dennis & D"Arcy Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford.
